Welcome to Filmscape Reverie– an up-and-coming multi-cultural entertainment blog for passionate cinema-lovers, #BookTok girlies, and artists gone rogue! Enthusiasm to share complex thoughts through soul-twisting words is something that I’ve spent my entire life chasing and relishing in. As an Asian-American immigrant turned US citizen who took the unconventional route (not nursing…sorry Mom!) and currently works in the media and entertainment industry, this page is meant to create raw connection and be an artistic outlet. I’ll be posting fun, flirty, fresh opinionated articles about screen-time ravings (domestic and international films and shows); trending literature (#BookTok has me in a choke-hold and guess what…so does manga/anime!); everyday learnings as a girly in my 20s; poetic artsy thoughts that arise at 3 a.m.; and of course, all the tea of what it’s like being a Fil-Am chasing an unconventional dream.
I’ve always desired a space to convey my innermost emotions while creating positive pieces of my most favorite things – diverse stories being at the forefront. My taste in cinematic masterpieces range from “now playing” trending films that create a cultural reset, to foreign gems (Asian stories I’m looking at you!), to indie films that change your life while you eat ice-cream and cry in your bedroom. Of course, this page will also feature other article topics as well (because why on Earth not?) My mantra is that we’re all universally connected whether we like it or not, so let’s make use of that puzzling connection, (no matter how imperfect) and spread that artistic joy.
